I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day! I spent my afternoon doing makeup for fun :)
I knew I wanted to do something soft and romantic and girly, and I knew Darling Girl's Persuasion would be perfect; I originally got it as a gift with purchase a few years ago and it became so popular Susan made it a permanent shade.
Persuasion is a Diamond Dust which is much more sparkly than your average eyeshadow; the listing says pictures can't do it justice and I'd have to agree! If you love sparkles, you need this eyeshadow. I'm not even a huge sparkle fan because I don't like getting sparkles everywhere, but this one was fairly easy to work with. I just patted it over glitter glue and was good to go!

Have to lift my brow so you can see the makeup on my hooded lids, lol.
Persuasion is so gorgeous! Besides the purple base, you can see flashes of gold, yellow, and green sparkles. It's one of those shadows that changes when you move.

I really like how this turned out, though I'm not sure those particular falsies weren't too thick and dramatic.. my eyes are a little small so I tend to feel like a Muppet with super thick falsies, lol. Persuasion performed beautifully and acted as two eyeshadows; applied over glitter glue on my lids it was a rainbow of sparkles, but applied to my crease without the glitter glue, the matte lavender base took over. Pretty cool!
I love the effect I got by using eyeshadow instead of actual eyeliner to line and make the wings; the effect is very soft which I love. I've actually been doing that a lot lately in my everyday makeup too; theBalm and Urban Decay eyeshadows make great liners since they're so pigmented.
The lips were done in a gradient style by dabbing the lipstick just on the inside of my lips and lightly blending out with the lighter shade. I love this trend♥
My good friend said I looked like a fairy, I was so flattered. That's just the sort of soft, romantic and slightly magical look I was going for on Valentine's Day. Too bad I didn't have anything fun to do and ended up bumming around the house all day. Who needs dates, candy and flowers when there's pajamas, coffee and Youtube? haha ;)
Thanks for reading!♥
