Swatches: Voodoo on the Bayou from BFTE Cosmetics

BFTE Cosmetics recently released their main Halloween collection called Voodoo on the Bayou; I couldn't get the set myself (darn no-buy!) but my super awesome makeup-junkie friend Shannon  offered to send me some sample baggies to play with. Here are some swatches, enjoy! :D

Swatched dry with brushes on bare, lotioned skin:
L to R: Marie Laveau, Lagniappe, Gris Gris, Bayou St John, and Under Creole Skies.

After swatching the above, I patted what was left on the brushes over Darling Girl Glitter Glue:
Top row: Marie Laveau, Lagniappe, Gris Gris. Bottom row: Bayou St John, Under Creole Skies.
I'm not good with descriptions but here's my impression of each color:
-Marie Laveau: A dark burgundy matte base with reddish shimmer, bronzey sheen, and tiny blue sparkles. Not your typical burgundy, it has a touch of pink as well.
-Lagniappe: One of my favorites, a bright orange copper with golden shimmer, shiny and metallic and perfect for Fall.
-Gris Gris: A warm medium tan with silvery shimmer and a tiny bit of a blueish sheen. This was the least shimmery shade; the finish is more of a satin, almost matte but not quite.
-Bayou St John: My favorite! Bright golden green, super shiny and metallic and gorgeous♥
-Under Creole Skies: Sheer matte navy base with lots of bright blue shimmer and sparkle.

This is a limited holiday set that includes 5 full-sized (5 gram) jars for $27; each set comes in a little burlap bag with a cute little voodoo doll keychain. (I don't have the bag or keychain though since these samples were sent to me by a friend.)
I believe there are still some sets left, the listing is still up and can be purchased here.

I absolutely love these colors and am never disappointed with BFTE!
Thanks for reading!
